About this house
Right next to Tisvilde Hegn is the artist's house among trees, beavers and birdsong. The old house with a studio has been here since the early 1900s and an extension was added in the 1970s. The house is a large thatched house with lots of history, atmosphere and quirky details - and all the art is the painter's own. The family has kept the house with a focus on - and respect for - preserving the fine original details and history while making it their own. It's a unique and life-giving place for young and old alike.
In the house there is room for the whole family. There is both a bedroom and a room with two princess beds for the children and a double bed. It's also possible to sleep in the studio, but on old hard beds. However, the view from here is absolutely stunning. The family's four-legged friend is also very welcome, but must be kept out of the bedrooms and beds as there are allergies in the family.
Outside the house is fantastic - there are no neighbors or noise and all you'll hear are frogs and birds. You can take lovely evening walks down to the property's lake and look for the beavers that live here. There's plenty of wildlife and the house is great for both adults and children who want to lie in a hammock and listen to birds chirping or build dens.
