About this house
The 200-year-old barn has been converted into a newly built two-storey apartment that contains everything you need for a relaxing stay in beautiful and raw nature. The family farm is located at the top of Ærø, overlooking the fields in the unspoiled area. The barn has previously been used for cattle, a chicken coop, carriage house and carpentry workshop, but now houses an incredibly nice and delicious apartment decorated with carefully selected second-hand finds and lovely Nordic colors. The large family room is open to the ceiling and the beautiful lime-painted walls create a calm and cohesive atmosphere. There's a lovely little kitchen and a dining area for meals shared with the family. The organic, homemade breakfast is included, so there are plenty of opportunities for relaxing mornings. From the family room, stairs lead up to the first floor of the guest house with two double beds. Here you lie under the old rafters of the house - the first floor is also a great place to retreat and be part of what's going on in the family room. The third bed is located in the bedroom on the ground floor, where the colors and materials create a lovely atmosphere. Outside is great for both children and adults. You can use the fire pit, trampoline, feed the chickens or take a look at the vegetable garden.
